Network Congestion Estimator
This tool continues the Performance design flow
Use this step to check whether network bandwidth becomes the next active limiter after compute and storage pressure have already been evaluated upstream.
This is where current traffic, peak behavior, link capacity, and operating margin combine into a real congestion-risk profile instead of a raw bandwidth number that looks safe until bursts arrive.
Best for: checking whether network bandwidth becomes the next limiting factor after compute and storage constraints.

What this models
- Current and peak traffic pressure against link capacity
- Whether peak behavior exceeds the intended operating band before full saturation
- How much reserve remains for bursts, retries, and mixed traffic conditions
Inputs
Results
Model: congestion risk is estimated from current traffic, peak traffic, link capacity, and target utilization. This is a planning estimator for bandwidth pressure, not a substitute for live queue, drop, or interface telemetry.
