Mounting Height

Continuing the Physical Security Design Flow

Use this step to choose a workable install height before locking field of view. It translates scene geometry into a suggested down-tilt and framing range so the next optical step starts from a healthier mounting assumption.

Calculated values from the previous step can carry forward into this tool, reducing re-entry and preserving design context.

Planning Inputs

Estimate vertical geometry so mount height, target distance, and framing stay in a practical range before you move into horizontal field-of-view planning.

Choose a mounting context so the height check reflects real-world install constraints.
Choose a camera vertical view profile to estimate VFOV.

Mounting Height Assistant

Review subject angle, mount-height balance, and vertical framing before carrying the camera position into field-of-view planning.

Model: suggested down-tilt is derived from mount height, target distance, and target height. Vertical framing is then estimated using the supplied vertical field of view to show where the top and bottom edges land at the target distance.
