Pixel Density
Continuing the Physical Security Design Flow
Use this step to verify whether the blind-spot-safe layout still delivers enough subject detail at the working distance. It converts geometry and resolution into actual pixels-per-foot so you can judge whether the design supports detection, recognition, or identification.
Calculated values from the previous step can carry forward into this tool, reducing re-entry and preserving design context.
Planning Inputs
Estimate actual pixel density at the working distance so you can judge whether the layout supports the level of subject detail the job really needs.
Choose a common camera resolution. Select Custom to enter a manual horizontal pixel count.
Choose the intended detail goal. Select Custom to enter an exact PPF target.
Pixel Density Assistant
Review delivered PPF, detail margin, and correction guidance before carrying the validated detail requirement into lens selection.
Model: scene width is calculated from horizontal field of view at the entered distance, then horizontal resolution is divided across that width to estimate pixels per foot. The result is compared to the target PPF and visualized as detail headroom versus requirement pressure.
